![]() Things Homer likes....Homer has a wide and varied love of lots of things, mainly food. He's not fussy, he will eat lettuce, tomato's, to a more varied diet of lamb chops and steak dinners
Homer's favourite pastime is 'counter surfing'. For a dog with crap legs he is very good at extending to his tip toes to rob anything within range off the kitchen work surface. We have got so used to his petty theft we now actually do an extra slice of bread and butter etc to save having to turn round 10 minutes later, discover it is missing and have to get it prepared again.
Homer particulary likes it when the food bin needs filling, as there's always the opportunity to snaffle as much as possible before the lid goes on. See him in action here....
Toy favourites have got to be 'Mr Squeaks'. Sold as 'cuz' balls, they are rubber footed little balls and the envy of all the dogs down the local park. Unfortunately Homer has yet to understand the meaning of sharing, and will quite happily engage in a fight with anyone over any of his toys He is a total water freak (well he is a lab) and will happily paddle in the sea, brook, paddling pool or goldfish pond (unfortunately) Barley is his bestest mate in the world. However the feeling isn't mutual. Barley would like nothing better than for Homer to go travelling abroad for a year (or ten) so that she can once again have the total attention of those dearest to her (us). We bought Homer as a pup expecting her to have overwhelming maternal feelings for this cute bundle. It was only then we found out that Barley didn't have a maternal bone in her. Walks are every dogs favourite and Homer is no exception - unfortunately he is VERY clingy and won't walk with anyone but his mumsy. Click here to see Homer taking a leisurely stroll with his dad..... Bedtimes with mumsy are a favourite, so posted this poem which is perfect for him...(well apart from the 'darling beast bit?!"..) The Happy Dog's Bedtime Prayer
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I've trapped her legs,
I sneak up slowly and it begins,
So thank you Lord, for giving me, |
